What do you say?

Woke up this morning to find this:

Damn. But then he was the type of guy you could tell wasn’t going to go quietly in his sleep. Oz has lost a great ambassador, and the beasties have lost a good mate. Rest well Steve-o. We’ll miss ya.

Then realised that it was Father’s Day in Oz yesterday and I missed it! Double-damn! So I was ringing around this morning with my phonecard. John was at the pub, didn’t get to speak to him, I’ll try again tomorrow (though I’m going to see him in about 3 weeks!!).

Got to speak to Dad, however, and all is well with him and Jan. Lots of whales passing their place at the moment – 12 yesterday apparently. Oh lordy, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to sit on your balcony and watch the whales passing by on their annual migration? Considering what a godawful summer it’s been here, and what a mild and pleasant winter it’s been there. Still warmer in Oz than here at the moment.

Had a pleasant weekend. Went into Camb on Sat to pickup part two of a book I really liked. Aso picked up The Zutons new album, that I’m listening to and enjoying at the mo.

Anyway – because of all this morning’s dramas it’s now 11am and I’ve done almost nothing! We’ve got 3 new starters today – taking the team to 33 people. Another 2 starting next month. *sigh* Back to it….
