hang on, what was that score??

First Test, Brisbane, day two (close): Australia 602-9 dec v England 53-3

Come on Aussie, Come On!  Go you Good Thing!  (I’m having a Darrel Eastlake moment) “It’s HUUUUUGE!”

England need to make 403 to avoid a follow on!!!  :-)

Oh yeah, OH YEAH!  Big grins & giggles in this office!  I wish I could watch it.

But in England this year, and for probably all the years to come, the cricket is ONLY available on cable – Sky Sports.  This was a deal done before England won the Ashes, when the sport didn’t have a very big following over here (well, not even half as big as football), and terriestrial television were losing money on it.  By the time England won, the deal was done and set in stone, despite public outcry at the time.

So I have to content myself with highlights downloaded off the internet, and the (maybe!) 1min story on the news each morning.  Think of me this weekend, when you’re settling in on the couch with the beer…

This country is just weird sometimes, you know??  I understand that football is more popular, but NOT EVERYONE LIKES FOOTBALL!! God forbid, though, if ANY football coverage is even suggested being put on cable only..  *sigh*

BUT – First Test, Brisbane, day two (close): Australia 602-9 dec v England 53-3

Heeeeheeeeheeeeheeeee! :o))
