Heheehee

Well, as predicted, we won the cricket.  YAAAYYY!  But, yes, we’ll see what happens in the next test in Adelaide…  Oh, and the Wallabies trounced the Scots in the Rugby – that was fun too :-)

Had a pretty fab weekend, really.  Friday night, shopping late.  It’s really good, quite empty and no dramas..  Had a bit of a giggle moment when I turned a corner and there was a WHOLE AISLE full of Fosters!  Ye Gods!  How much beer are they expecting to sell??!  I couldn’t help but laugh, and I wish I had a camera..  it looked amazing..

Saturday day didn’t do much – but Sat night was the Hinxton Silent Auction!  What a fab night, as usual, a great village event that everyone turns out for.  Lots of free food and wine (got quite drunk really – the world was spinning when I got home:) and ended up with two English countryside paintings, some Swarovski crystal jewellery and a box of turkish delight, all for a measley £24.  Great night.  Made some new friends, met some new neighbours…

Sunday was recovery day – although surprisingly I didn’t feel too bad..  must have been the pint of water I drank before bed and the other one I drank at about 3am.  But Sunday night was my ‘thank you for cat-sitting’ dinner for Georgie and we went to Al Casbah on Mill Road.  FANTASTIC!  The food was wonderful, incredibly flavourful and HUGE portions.  There is a grill in the front of the shop roasting all the shishkebab on the open coals, and a queue of people waiting for tables..  Food was fantastic and very decently priced, the mint tea was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed.  Staff friendly and helpful – all in all a great night.  We had to be rolled out of the restaurant, and then had a shaky moment of not remembering where the car was, but got home at about 9:30 and watched some West Wing before bed.
